- Gunman Fires Two Rounds at Shopkeeper
Bhopal, Panic gripped the heavily crowded Roshanpura Square on Friday evening after a man, who arrived in a car, opened fire in a shocking daylight incident before fleeing the scene. The target, Shyam (22), the proprietor of an MP Online shop, miraculously escaped the attack unscathed.
The dramatic confrontation, which occurred around 5:30 PM, stemmed from a dispute over payment. According to police, the accused had transferred Rs 30,000 from the shopkeeper’s account to another. When Shyam demanded the transferred money and his service charges back, the enraged suspect drew a revolver.
Two Shots, Narrow Escape
Witnesses reported hearing two shots. The first round narrowly missed the shopkeeper, while the second struck the glass window of a nearby jeweler, leaving a gaping hole. T.T. Nagar Police immediately rushed to the site, seized two empty cartridges, and launched a massive manhunt.
Police have identified the accused and traced the car, registered under the name Lokendra Singh Gurjar from Bhind district. “The accused has been identified and will be arrested soon,” police stated.
