“Cyber Rath” Rolls Out in Katni to Combat Digital Fraud

A Joint Operation of Police and SBI Katni

Katni: In a proactive push to shield citizens from the surge in online crime, the State Bank of India (SBI), RBO-4 Katni, has partnered with the Katni Police Administration to launch a dedicated “Cyber Rath” (Cyber Chariot). The initiative was formally flagged off from the SBI Main Branch on Tuesday by Regional Manager Harish Kumar Raghuvanshi, along with Chief Managers Saurabh Yadav and Pushpraj Patel.

This mobile awareness campaign is designed to deliver vital information on prevention and digital safety in a simple and impactful manner. The Cyber Rath will travel across Katni city and the district, targeting major spots, including market areas, educational institutions, and rural localities.

Awareness will be spread through engaging methods such as street plays (nukkad nataks), video messages, and audio broadcasts. The focus is to educate the public on cautious banking practices, safe social media usage, and secure online transactions. Officials emphasized that “safe digital behaviour is the biggest necessity of the modern era,” aiming to inspire every citizen to become a responsible digital user.
