Chief Secretary Shri. Jain also inaugurated the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Pavilion and the vibrant rural tourism exhibition “Village Vibes.” Renowned actor Shri. Raghubir Yadav and Additional Chief Secretary of Tourism & Culture, Shri Sheoshekhar Shukla, were also present.
Shri Jain appreciated the presentation of the local rural environment of the state through the “Village Vibes” exhibition. He interacted with girls trained under the Safe Tourist Destination project for women. He also observed live demonstrations of “Maa Ki Rasoi”, block printing, souvenir shops, Chanderi saree weaving, and Gond painting. The Chief Secretary was welcomed with traditional drum and flute performances.
Shri Jain met rural homestay operators who had been given a special platform at the B2B event. He praised the initiative of connecting rural homestay operators with international tour and travel operators to create dialogue and business opportunities. He interacted with homestay owners including Vanraj Homestay, Palash Villa Pench, Jyanshi Homestay, Vedika Hill Homestay, and Grand Narmada Homestay. He encouraged them and appreciated their efforts and souvenir products.
Chief Secretary Shri Jain also met with foreign and Indian tour operators, hotel representatives, and investors, sharing information about efforts to promote tourism in the state. He thanked them for attending the Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart and urged them to contribute towards enhancing tourism in the state. He toured the exhibitions and stalls, interacted with participants, and shared insights on the state’s new tourism policy, investment opportunities, and upcoming initiatives.
Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation Dr. Ilaiya Raja T, Sushri Bidisha Mukherjee, along with officials from the tourism department, and a large number of domestic and international tour & travel operators and hoteliers were present.
The B2B event of the Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart is a significant business platform with its primary goal to connect tour operators and hotel owners (sellers) from Madhya Pradesh directly with national and international travel agents (buyers).
Business agreements and partnerships are facilitated through pre-scheduled meetings. It provides an opportunity to promote the state’s diverse tourist destinations, such as wildlife, heritage, and new attractions, enabling buyers to create attractive tour packages. The ultimate aim is to boost tourist inflow into the state and stimulate the local economy.
