New Delhi, Nov 26 (UNI) An encounter took place early Wednesday morning between police and a criminal in Patel Nagar, Central Delhi.
According to a senior police official, Mehtab, who was wanted in a murder case, sustained a gunshot injury during the exchange of fire.
“When police from Patel Nagar station signaled him to stop, he opened fire on them. Mehtab was shot in retaliatory firing and admitted to a nearby hospital,” the official said.
An FIR has been lodged at Patel Nagar Police Station, and further details are awaited.
