Crime Branch nabs two drug traffickers after car chase

  • Cinematic takedown in Bhopal

Bhopal: In a scene straight out of a movie, Bhopal’s Crime Branch police have successfully apprehended two alleged drug traffickers who were supplying MD (Methylenedioxymethamphetamine) drugs to college students under the guise of “weight loss” solutions. The dramatic arrest unfolded after the suspects attempted a desperate escape, ramming their vehicle into police cars, but ultimately failed to evade capture. Authorities also recovered 22 grams of MD and a pistol from the arrested individuals.

Police sources reveal that this operation stems from a recent bust where the Crime Branch arrested Safe-ud-din and Ashu alias Shahrukh with MD. Intercepted WhatsApp chats from their phones exposed a disturbing network: they were supplying MD to two female college students. Further investigation led police to identify two more individuals involved in the drug supply chain: Yaseen and Shahwar.

Late last night, intelligence pinpointed the location of Yaseen and Shahwar. As police teams moved in to cordon off the area, Yaseen allegedly tried to make a daring escape, deliberately colliding with police vehicles. However, the quick-thinking officers executed a “filmy style” maneuver, effectively cornering and apprehending the duo. A subsequent search yielded the 22 grams of MD and a pistol. Police anticipate a full disclosure of the entire operation following extensive interrogation of the suspects.
