Mentally ill re-united with her family
A mentally ill woman who came to Bhopal from Betul for treatment a week ago got separated from her family. The Mahila Thana Police searched for her family members and safely handed her over to them. The woman was not able to tell the name and address of her house properly. A temple priest identified the woman and gave information about her family.
On Saturday evening at around 6 o’clock, a passerby reached the Mahila Thana and informed that a woman was sitting outside the gate of the Home Guard office for a long time and was crying. Police station in-charge Shilpa Kaurav immediately sent staff to call the woman to the police station. During interrogation, the woman was unable to tell her name and address.
With great difficulty, she told the address of her house as Lakherapura. When the police took her to Lakherapura, there was no information about her family. The people of the locality also did not recognize the woman. Even after a lot of efforts, when the woman’s family could not be traced, the police took her to the Chaurasia Samaj temple.
Here the priest of the temple told that this woman comes to the temple with a person named Shrikant Chouksey. Shrikant said that the woman is his sister. When the police took the number from the priest and contacted Shrikant, he told that the said woman is his sister, who lives in Betul. About a week ago, she had come to Bhopal for treatment. She is undergoing treatment due to being mentally ill.
On Saturday morning at around 9:30, she left the house without telling anyone, after which the family was searching for her at every possible place. When there was no information about the sister, they were going to the police station and register a missing report. The police called them to the Chaurasia Samaj temple and after identifying the woman, handed over the woman safely to them.
