Janagaon (Telangana), Nov 24 (UNI) AICC General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi asserted that the Congress party, if elected in the upcoming Telangana assembly elections on November 30, will address the pressing issue of unemployment.
Addressing an election campaign meeting in Palakurthi, Jangaon district, Gandhi expressed pride in the strength of the youth and highlighted the positive contributions of the Congress party to the people. She contrasted this with alleged land acquisitions by the KCR family.
Priyanka Gandhi acknowledged the sacrifices made for the formation of Telangana but lamented that the aspirations of the people remained unfulfilled, particularly regarding employment.
Questioning the employment scenario in Telangana post-statehood, Priyanka Gandhi pointed out the high level of unemployment, with the youth disheartened by the Telangana State Public Service Commission’s (TSPSC) exam paper leaks, leading to reported cases of suicide.
She promised that Congress would address this issue by releasing a job calendar and taking steps to prevent the leakage of competitive exam papers.
Gandhi also pledged to resolve women’s issues, promising Rs 2,500 for every poor woman and a gas cylinder at Rs 500. Additionally, she committed to taking necessary measures to control the rising prices of essential commodities if Congress secures victory.
In another campaign held in Husnabad, Siddipet district, Priyanka Gandhi criticized the KCR government, expressing displeasure over alleged corruption in projects and the concentration of ministerial posts within the KCR family.
She highlighted the ongoing elections as a battle between Congress and BRS, expressing frustration that BRS supports BJP in Delhi while BJP supports BRS in Telangana.
