Congress Welcomes Ram Path Festival but Raises Concerns

Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh government has announced plans to celebrate Deepotsav in districts along the historic Ram Path Gaman Marg. While welcoming the move, Congress reminded the ruling BJP that it was the Kamal Nath-led Congress government which first allocated ₹250 crore for the project’s development.

Congress spokesperson Ravi Saxena said that while religious celebrations were important, the government must also address pressing issues. He pointed out that more than 42 lakh youth in the state remain unemployed and deserve proper job opportunities. He further criticised the government over rising crimes against women, farmers facing baton charges for fertiliser, and the lack of fair Minimum Support Price (MSP) for crops.

Saxena urged the government to focus on making the state crime-free and progressive, so that citizens could truly celebrate festivals like Deepotsav with joy and pride.
