Pachmarhi: The second day of the District Congress Presidents’ organisational training camp in Pachmarhi began on Sunday morning with the flag-hoisting ceremony, followed by a group yoga and physical exercise session led by trainer Arun Sharma.
The day featured three key thematic sessions aimed at strengthening the ideological and organisational foundation of the party.
The first session, on “Secularism and Harmony,” was conducted by MLA and AICC Secretary Kazi Nizamuddin. He emphasised that unity, harmony, and faith in diversity form the core of India and the Congress Party’s spirit. Engaging with participants, he urged them to uphold these principles in both political and social work.
The second session, on “The Process of Organisation Building,” was addressed by MP Shashi Tharoor Senthil, who elaborated on strategies to expand and empower the Congress organisation down to the village level. He stressed the importance of connecting the organisation with public issues and ensuring constant engagement with citizens.
In the third session, “Failures of the Madhya Pradesh Government, Public Concerns and Congress’s Future Strategy,” Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar sharply criticised the BJP government’s anti-people policies. He called upon Congress workers to take the party’s message and commitment to the people with renewed vigour.
The day concluded with an interactive evening session where delegates shared organisational experiences and insights from their respective districts.
The training camp, organised under the direction of the All India Congress Committee, aims to infuse new energy and direction into the Madhya Pradesh Congress organisation and prepare it for future political challenges.
