Bhopal: The Congress party will stage a major political show of strength in Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s home district of Ujjain on Friday, 12 September 2025, by launching the Kisan Nyay Yatra (Farmers’ Justice March). Party leaders have described the rally as a historic protest against what they termed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government’s “anti-farmer and anti-people policies.”

The event is expected to witness participation from key Congress figures, including Madhya Pradesh in-charge Harish Chaudhary, Pradesh Congress Committee president Jeetu Patwari, Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar, former Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh, AICC General Secretary and former Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot, along with senior leaders, MLAs, district presidents, and thousands of workers.

Congress leaders have accused Chief Minister Yadav of turning a deaf ear to the plight of farmers in his own constituency. They allege that cultivators in Ujjain are reeling under debt, inflation, and acute shortages of fertilisers, while the state government remains indifferent.

The Nyay Yatra, according to Congress, is not only a campaign for farmers’ rights but also a movement against unemployment among youth, insecurity faced by women, and the overall neglect of ordinary citizens under BJP rule.

The rally will carry a strong political message, branding the BJP as “vote thieves,” “anti-farmer,” and “the mother of unemployment.”

“This clarion call from the Chief Minister’s home district will shake the very foundations of the BJP government in Madhya Pradesh,” the party declared. “The people are no longer swayed by empty promises and deception; they now stand with the Congress, which is committed to justice and rights.”
