Bhopal: An important organisational meeting of the Bhopal city unit of the Congress Seva Dal was held at the Madhya Pradesh Congress office, Indira Bhavan, in Bhopal. The meeting commenced with the rendition of the national song Vande Mataram.
Addressing party workers as chief guest, Avneesh Margav, president of the Madhya Pradesh Congress Seva Dal, outlined the roadmap for forthcoming organisational programmes. He described the Seva Dal as the backbone of the Congress and said that workers would need to play a more active and dedicated role among the public in the coming months. He emphasised the need to strengthen discipline and the spirit of service at the grassroots level.
Nihal Ahmed, president of the Bhopal City Congress Seva Dal, briefed attendees on key decisions taken during the meeting. He announced that weekly prabhat pheris would be organised every Sunday in different parts of the city. Plans were also finalised to constitute and expand units at block and ward levels. The meeting further resolved to accelerate the membership drive and organise special training camps for party workers.
Several office-bearers and workers from both the State and city units attended the meeting in large numbers.
