Bhopal: Congress spokesperson Vivek Tripathi has raised serious concerns over the ongoing sewer line construction under the Amrit Yojana 2.0 in Arera Colony, alleging negligence and corruption by Tata Company, which has been awarded the contract.
Tripathi stated that roads have been left dug up during the monsoon, creating large potholes and swamp-like conditions. Vehicles, including a truck carrying gas cylinders and several private cars, were recently trapped, heightening the risk of accidents. He added that women, children, and the elderly are facing severe difficulties in daily movement.
Accusing the Bhopal Municipal Corporation of collusion with Tata Company, Tripathi said that public money worth crores is being wasted while citizens are forced to live in miserable conditions.
The Congress leader demanded punitive action against Tata, a high-level inquiry into the project, and urgent repair of roads with proper drainage. He warned that failure to act would force Congress to launch an agitation.
