Congress Questions ‘Modi’s Guarantee’

Bhopal: On Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, Congress spokesperson Rahul Raj questioned the promises made to the people of Madhya Pradesh under what was termed “Modi’s Guarantee”. He asked why women had not received cooking gas cylinders at ₹450, why Ladli Bahana beneficiaries were not paid ₹3,000 per month, and why farmers were denied wheat at ₹2,700 and paddy at ₹3,100 per quintal. He further alleged that crop insurance benefits were negligible, while farmers were struggling with fertiliser shortages, facing police action in queues, and slipping into financial crisis. Congress described this as betrayal under “Modi’s Guarantee”.
