Congress questions enhanced security for Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Bhopal: Reacting to the decision to strengthen the security cover of Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Madhya Pradesh Congress Media Department president Mukesh Nayak raised serious questions over the state of law and order in the state. He said that the need to increase security for a senior minister reflects the government’s failure to maintain effective law and order.

Nayak alleged that if public representatives themselves feel insecure, it clearly indicates a deteriorating security situation across Madhya Pradesh. He criticised the state government for prioritising individual protection while ordinary citizens continue to feel unsafe.

The Congress leader urged the government to focus on ensuring the safety of the general public rather than resorting to heightened security measures for select individuals. He further stated that maintaining law and order is the primary responsibility of the government and should not be compromised under any circumstances.
