Congress leaders conduct grassroots outreach in Pipariya villages

By Special Correspondent

Pachmarhi : On the fourth day of the ongoing organisational training camp for District Congress Presidents in Pachmarhi, party leaders from the Pipariya Assembly constituency, including District Congress Committee presidents and sitting legislators, undertook an extensive visit to several villages in the region. The primary objective of the visit was to gain a first-hand understanding of the issues faced by tribal and rural communities and to assess the ground-level implementation of government schemes.

The delegation interacted directly with local residents, seeking detailed feedback on whether welfare programmes initiated by the government were genuinely reaching those they were intended to benefit. During their visits, the leaders examined conditions related to essential services such as education, healthcare facilities, drinking water availability, livelihood schemes, and Panchayati Raj functioning. They also reviewed ongoing development works and assessed the pace and quality of infrastructure projects.

According to observations shared by the Congress representatives, several development schemes were found to be functioning only partially, with benefits reaching people in a limited or inconsistent manner. In some villages, the team reported a noticeable lack of basic amenities, including potable water and reliable healthcare access. The Congress leaders expressed concern over these shortcomings and affirmed that the party would raise these issues at all appropriate forums.

They emphasised that the voices and concerns of rural and tribal communities must be represented effectively, and solutions must be pursued through sustained political and administrative pressure. The outreach campaign, they noted, is aimed not only at understanding grassroots challenges but also at strengthening the party’s organisational network by establishing deeper connections with citizens.

The Congress leadership stated that such direct engagement with the people would continue, as it is vital to ensure that development reaches those who need it most and that governance remains accountable to the public.
