Congress holds meeting to strengthen grassroots network

Bhopal: A key organisational meeting of the Bhopal division of the Congress was held at Indira Bhavan here on Sunday to chalk out a strategy for strengthening the party at the grassroots level.

The meeting was attended by State Congress in-charge Harish Chaudhary, Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee president Jeetu Patwari, All India Congress Committee secretary Sanjay Dutt, organisation vice-president Sukhdev Panse and organisation general secretary Dr Sanjay Kamle. District presidents, district and Assembly in-charges and block presidents from Bhopal, Sehore, Raisen, Rajgarh and Vidisha districts participated.

Deliberations focused on a detailed action plan for constituting committees at the gram panchayat and ward levels, with the objective of reinforcing the party’s base. Upcoming organisational activities, public outreach programmes and strategic directions to enhance effectiveness were also discussed.

Addressing the gathering, Jeetu Patwari said the Congress draws its real strength from its grassroots organisation. He urged office-bearers to discharge their responsibilities with commitment, sincerity and active engagement, calling the meeting a vital step towards a stronger and more people-centric organisation.
