Bhopal: The Anushasan Samiti (Disciplinary Committee) of the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee held a crucial meeting at the state party headquarters on Tuesday. The meeting was chaired by MLA and Deputy Speaker Rajendra Singh, who also serves as the Committee President.

During the discussions, it was resolved that strict disciplinary action would be taken against party members found guilty of violating organisational rules and norms. According to sources, the party has received nearly 2,000 complaints in recent months, most of them originating from Indore and Ujjain districts.

In response to these complaints, formal notices have already been issued to several members accused of misconduct or indiscipline within the party structure. The Committee emphasised that adherence to party discipline is essential to maintain unity and credibility, especially ahead of the upcoming political activities in the state.

Prominent leaders, including senior Congress member Ajita Bajpai and former minister and MLA Surendra Choudhary, attended the meeting. Both leaders underscored the need for accountability and collective responsibility among party workers.

Rajendra Singh reaffirmed that the Congress remains committed to upholding internal discipline and transparency. He added that the party would not tolerate behaviour that undermines its principles or organisational integrity.

The Anushasan Samiti will continue to review pending complaints and take appropriate action in the coming weeks to ensure that party conduct remains aligned with Congress values.

According to the sources, the Commitee will submit final report to party president Jeetu Patwari on Wednesday.
