Bhopal: A Congress delegation led by Amit Sharma on Friday met renowned spiritual storyteller Pandit Pradeep Mishra to raise concern over the alleged killing of cows and the continuing incidents of illegal beef trafficking. The delegation sought his support to strengthen efforts for the protection of cows and to spread wider social awareness on the issue.
During the meeting, the delegation demanded strict action against the Bhopal Mayor, members of the Mayor-in-Council, and officials who had allegedly granted permission for slaughter operations. Emphasising the need for immediate and stringent measures, the members said effective steps were essential to prevent such incidents in future.
Pandit Pradeep Mishra expressed support for the cause, offered his blessings, and called upon society to unite for cow protection. Sehore District Congress Committee president Rajiv Gujarati was also present.
