Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee’s Scheduled Caste Department State President, Pradeep Ahirwar, on Tuesday accused the state government of shielding influential individuals involved in the alleged use of fake Scheduled Caste certificates.
Addressing a press conference in Bhopal, Ahirwar claimed that fraudulent caste certificates were prepared by powerful people, including the alleged involvement of some IAS officers. He said that despite inquiries being conducted in several cases, those implicated were given a “clean chit”, raising serious questions about the credibility and intent of the investigations.
Ahirwar further alleged that more than 223 cases related to fake SC certificates are currently pending in the state. He said that although several years have passed, no concrete action has been taken by the government against the alleged offenders.
Expressing dissatisfaction over the continued delay, Ahirwar said the affected community and the Congress party were now left with no option but to seek judicial intervention. He announced that a writ petition would soon be filed in the High Court to ensure accountability and bring holders of fake SC certificates to justice.
