Bhopal: Celebrations were held at the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee office on Friday after former State Cabinet Minister Sukhdev Panse was acquitted in a case that had been pending for several years. Party leaders and workers marked the occasion by distributing sweets and welcoming him with garlands and flowers.
The programme was organised to celebrate Panse’s acquittal from what party leaders described as a false case. Several Congress leaders and workers gathered at the party office to express their happiness over the court’s decision.
Among those present on the occasion were Shehryar Khan, former spokesperson and state representative of the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee; Sukhlal Thakur, former district president of Bhopal Rural; Rahul Raj, spokesperson Vikram Choudhary former spokesperson; and Praveen Dholpur, former spokesperson.
Large number of party workers and supporters also attended the event and congratulated Panse, stating that the court’s verdict had reaffirmed their faith in the judiciary and the constitutional system. The leaders said the decision had brought relief and happiness to party workers who had been supporting Panse throughout the long legal battle.
