Cong Women’s Wing to hold protest in Bina

Bina (Sagar): Protesting the alleged rape and brutal assault of a three-year-old girl in Khimlasa area of Bina Assembly constituency, the Madhya Pradesh Congress Women’s Atrocities Prevention Cell has called for a sit-in demonstration on Friday, January 16, 2026. The protest will be held at Ambedkar Square, Bina, at 12.30 pm, after which a memorandum will be submitted to the concerned authorities.

The agitation is being organised on the directions of state president of the Women’s Atrocities Prevention Cell, Priyanka Kirar, and will be led by advocate Uma Mahendra Navaiya, district president of the Rural Women’s Congress Committee, Sagar, and advocate Mohini Kashyap, district president of the Women’s Atrocities Prevention Cell, Sagar.

Congress leaders termed the rising crimes against women and children in the state as deeply alarming. They demanded swift justice for the victim, immediate arrest of the accused and the strictest possible punishment. The memorandum will also seek effective measures to ensure women’s safety. Leaders and workers of various Congress frontal organisations and citizens are expected to participate in large numbers.
