Cong leaders extend warm greetings on 556th Guru Nanak Dev Ji Prakash Utsav

New Delhi, Nov 5 (UNI) Prominent Congress leaders, including party President Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, extended warm greetings to mark the 556th Prakash Utsav (birth anniversary) of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, celebrated with devotion on November 5, 2025.

In his message, Mallikarjun Kharge emphasised Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s foundational teachings of unity, empathy, and selfless service. Kharge specifically highlighted the Guru’s wisdom, quoting, “Compassion and humility are the true ornaments of a human.”

He urged people to uphold the values of truth, peace, love, and the core Sikh principle of Sarbat da Bhala (welfare of all) on this auspicious occasion.

Rahul Gandhi also praised the Guru’s powerful message of compassion, love, and harmony, stating that his teachings, particularly ‘Sarbat Da Bhala,’ will continue to inspire humanity to walk the path of service and harmonious living forever.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra joined in extending congratulations, highlighting the timeless relevance of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s path, which advocates for love, compassion, service, peace, equality, and morality.

The 556th Prakash Utsav is being celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion across India and globally, honoring the birth and enduring, timeless teachings of the founder of Sikhism.
