- Due to lack of parking lots, vehicles are parked on roads, 3 feet of water and garbage piled up
Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal
Vehicle parking is also a big problem among the many big problems of the capital. People park their vehicles on the main markets and roads and leave.
The condition of MP Nagar, which is considered to be the top posh area of Bhopal, is even worse. Here so many vehicles are parked on the roads throughout the day that they cannot be counted. Whereas, if this parking lot was good then it is so big that 150 two-wheelers and 25 four-wheelers can be parked in this area. Due to which many small and big accidents happen every day. If the Municipal Corporation pays attention to this parking, then the problem of parking in MP Nagar can be reduced to some extent. Thousands of people will benefit from this. Because, there are many big offices, malls and media houses here. Where about 2-3 lakh vehicles are parked every day.
Whereas, the surprising thing is that, in the same area, the parking built in Zone-2 in front of Jyoti Talkies of the Municipal Corporation is in a bad condition. Not a single vehicle can be parked in the basement and ground parking because it has completely become a garbage house. This parking was constructed in the year 2006 at a cost of 16 lakhs. At present, it is in a bad condition. It is filled with water and garbage up to 3 feet. It remains filled. Vehicles cannot be parked here. Not only this, dirty sewage water from the nearby shops is also logged in this parking.
Not only this, if so many vehicles were parked in this parking lot, then the roads of MP Nagar would have remained empty and people would have got enough space to move around. The surprising thing is that, despite so much inconvenience due to parking of vehicles in MP Nagar, the attention of the Municipal Corporation is not going towards this parking. If the Municipal Corporation had taken care of this parking, then there would not have been garbage and water here. Every day lakhs of two-wheelers and four-wheelers pass through MP Nagar Zone-1 and Zone-2. Many of these vehicles are also parked here for a long time. Many of these are parked in the smart parking of MP Nagar and many are parked on the roads due to lack of space. Due to which even wide roads become narrow and there is no space to pass through here.
The Municipal Corporation will get it cleaned soon and bring it in a condition to be used.
