Coal distributed amid LPG shortage by Congress

Bhopal: Amid an ongoing shortage of cooking gas and non-availability of LPG cylinders, Congress leader and former Govindpura Assembly candidate Ravindra Sahu Jhumarwala distributed coal to local shop owners and residents at Barkheda Pathani Square on March 17.

Highlighting the hardships faced by small hotel operators, tea stall owners and households, Sahu criticised both the Union government led by Narendra Modi and the state government headed by Mohan Yadav. He alleged that people are being forced to struggle for basic cooking fuel while authorities remain silent on the issue.

Sahu said that in the absence of LPG cylinders, people are compelled to revert to traditional fuels such as coal and firewood. The distribution drive, he added, was aimed at exposing the ground reality.

He questioned the effectiveness of welfare schemes and demanded immediate restoration of gas supply. Warning of protests, he said the Congress would launch a larger agitation if the situation does not improve soon.
