- CM Yadav Wishes Players and Presents Each with a Football Kit
Bhopal, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav met five football players from Vicharpur village, the ‘Mini Brazil’ of Shahdol district, at his residence on Wednesday. The players, accompanied by their female coach, are set to travel to Germany for world-class training at the prestigious FC Ingolstadt 04 football club.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav congratulated the players and wished them a bright future. He encouraged them to make the most of this golden opportunity to achieve excellence for both the nation and the state. CM Dr. Yadav also presented football kits to all the players.
Under the leadership of Coach Miss Lakshmi Sahis, the players Sania Kunde (14 years), Suhani Kol (15 years), Preetam Kumar (14 years), Virendra Baiga (16 years), and Manish Ghasiya (16 years) are preparing for their training trip to Germany.
Principal Secretary, Sports and Youth Welfare, Shri Manish Singh, Director Sports, Shri Rakesh Kumar Gupta, and other officials from the Sports Department were also present.
Vicharpur gained national and international attention after Prime Minister Narendra Modi referred to the village as ‘Mini Brazil’ during his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program. The German football club subsequently invited them for training. This milestone is a proud moment for Madhya Pradesh, highlighting the emerging sports talent from a local community on the global stage.
