Bhopal: The Global Investors Summit (GIS) held in Bhopal was the center of attention during the Cabinet meeting on Tuesday. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav provided a detailed account of the summit, with ministers congratulating him for its success. Dr. Yadav highlighted that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, the summit has significantly boosted the confidence of not just investors across India but also the smallest investors and citizens of Madhya Pradesh.
The Chief Minister emphasized that collective efforts had placed the state in a better position. He shared that the GIS attracted massive investments: Rs 12.02 lakh crore in the industrial sector, Rs 5.72 lakh crore in renewable energy, Rs 3.22 lakh crore in mining and minerals, Rs 1.9 lakh crore in urban development, and Rs 1.74 lakh crore in energy development. To ensure continuous growth, the government will regularly review investment progress, with bi-monthly evaluations at the CM level and monthly reviews by the Chief Secretary.
Ministers also presented Dr. Yadav with a statue of Lord Ram to celebrate the success of GIS. Additionally, Dr. Yadav announced that the 16th Finance Commission would arrive in the state, holding discussions with ministers and political representatives. He also revealed the upcoming “Jai Ganga Jal Conservation Campaign” and preparations for the Vikramotsav and Gudipadwa festivals. These initiatives aim to further enhance the state’s development and cultural heritage.
