CM Performs Shastra Pujan at His Residence

  • Worships Goddess Kali and Performs Ritual Puja of Vehicles
  • Security Staff and Officials Participate in the Ceremony

Bhopal, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav performed worship at Samatva Bhavan in the Chief Minister’s residence on the occasion of Vijayadashami. Wearing traditional attire of dhoti and kurta, Dr. Yadav conducted the ritual worship of Goddess Kali, the embodiment of power, and offered oblations in the yajna with Vedic chants. He performed Shastra Pujan, symbolising strength, courage and victory, and applied tilak to Chief Security Officer Shri Sameer Yadav. The Chief Minister also performed puja of the vehicles at his residence. Security officers and personnel along with all officials and staff posted at the Chief Minister’s residence participated in the Shastra Pujan. Dr. Yadav distributed sweets as prasad to everyone and extended greetings and best wishes for Dussehra.

After the worship, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav conveyed a message to the people of the state. Remembering Lord Shri Ram and Mahishasurmardini Maa Jagadamba, he said that this festival symbolises the victory of righteousness over unrighteousness and truth over falsehood. On this occasion, he prayed that divine grace remains upon all and that everyone may always be blessed with well-being.

Special Decorations for Shastra Pujan at Samatva Bhavan

Special arrangements were made at Samatva Bhavan for the Shastra Pujan. The backdrop at the worship site depicted Lord Shri Ram in his archer stance and a terrified Ravana, along with the mantra “Ya Devi Sarva Bhuteshu Matru Rupena Sansthita – Namastasyai Namastasyai Namastasyai Namo Namah,” symbolising the worship of divine power. The inscription “Shastreṇa Rakṣite Rāṣṭre – Śāstra Chintā Pravartate,” meaning “Only a nation protected by weapons can advance on the path of prosperity through intellectual pursuit,” expressed the significance of Shastra Pujan. Modern weapons used by the police were displayed for worship.

The ceremony was attended by MLA Shri Rameshwar Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Neeraj Mandloi, Commissioner of Public Relations Shri Deepak Saxena and other officials and staff members.
