CM lauds Kapila Gaushala for protection of cattle

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that with time, our gaumata is also in trouble. Along with the all-round development of the state, the government is also committed to the protection and promotion of the holy cow. The work of beautifying the cow shelters is being undertaken. He congratulated Shri Achyutanand Ji Maharaj who played a remarkable role in the promotion of Kapila Gaushala. He said that Shri Achyutanand Ji Maharaj is playing an inspiring and important role in the conservation of cattle. Earlier too, he has done remarkable work in rearing more than 5000 cows in Gwalior. He also praised the beautiful statues of Lord Shiva and Ganesh built in the Kapila Gaushala.

CM Dr. Yadav addressed a promotional programme at Kapila Gaushala in Ratnakhedi village, Ujjain, inaugurating the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign district-wide. He commenced the campaign by planting saplings in cowsheds. During his visit to Kapila Gaushala, he garlanded the sacred cow, applied tilak, and performed aarti. Shri Achyutanand Ji Maharaj briefed him on the Gaushala’s development plans and innovations. At the event, the Chief Minister presented saplings to organizations committed to plantation and conservation efforts.

In the program, a short film focusing on the development action plan of Kapila Gaushala was screened. Swami Muskurake conducted the programme. Singer Shri Amit Sharma presented melodious songs based on patriotism and the environment.

CM said said that the animals are being well looked after in the Gaushala and it is also fully equipped with modern equipment. Here food for more than 1000 animals can be prepared in a few minutes. He said that destitute cows found abandoned on the major roads of Ujjain, Bhopal, Indore, Dewas, etc. have been brought here He appreciated the work done by the District Administration and Municipal Corporation for the promotion of Kapila Gaushala.

Achyutanand Ji Maharaj of Kapila Gaushala thanked Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, district administration, Municipal Corporation, and other public representatives for the promotion of Kapila Gaushala. He said that the protection of cattle is not only the responsibility of the government but also the responsibility of all of us. Shri Achyutanand Ji Maharaj also presented the idols of Lord Shiva and Ganesha made from the products in the cowshed to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav.

Under the Kapila Gaushala Promotion project, four sheds (24-60m) will be built in the Gaushala, with an estimated capacity of 600 cattle per shed. For quick treatment of animals, a separate shed and dispensary are being constructed. At the same time, a straw storage shed (15-48m) is also being built for fodder. Gau-seva shala, biogas plant, administrative/office building, laboratory, dairy, parking, and garden area for visitors will also be developed in the gaushala. The Gaushala will be monitored from the watch tower.

Gaushala will be covered with greenery

The Gaushala will be covered with greenery to provide a natural environment for the cows. Besides, the provision of fodder will be ensured by sowing pasture for cattle in the additional land. Under the National Urban Livelihood Mission, products like color paint, pots, gaukasht, cow dung artwork, etc. will be promoted. Mixer machine worth Rs 14 lakh, loader tractor worth Rs 10 lakh, and RO filter plant worth Rs 1 lakh are being arranged in the cow shed through CSR. Arrangements for tractor supa, tractor trolley, and water tanker have also been made in the cowshed.
