- Muslim community delegation calls on the Chief Minister
Bhopal: On Thursday, a delegation of Muslim community leaders, led by Dr. Sanwar Patel, Chairman of the Madhya Pradesh Waqf Board, met Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav at Samatv Bhavan. The delegation expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the central government, and CM Dr. Yadav for the passage of the Waqf Bill in the Lok Sabha.
The delegation congratulated the Chief Minister, emphasizing that the bill would ensure the legal protection of Muslim community properties and secure the rights of the poor and needy. They acknowledged that the bill would bring justice to the underprivileged by providing them with their rightful share of Waqf resources.
CM Dr. Yadav assured the delegation that the state government is committed to safeguarding the interests of all communities. He praised the bill as a crucial step to ensure that Waqf properties are appropriately protected, and misappropriations are addressed. He highlighted that Prime Minister Modi’s initiative to reform Waqf Board regulations was vital to ensuring the benefits reach the poorest, especially those who have been deprived by powerful vested interests.
The Chief Minister also praised the Waqf Board members for their efforts in raising awareness and mobilizing support for the bill in Bhopal, calling it a positive message for the country.
