CM discusses investment and development resolutions

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav held a meeting with the officials of the Indian High Commission, London on the first day of his UK tour. During this, he discussed in detail the state’s plans regarding industrial development, technical cooperation and global investment.

The CM expressed happiness on starting his first international trip from Britain and appreciated the cooperation of the Indian High Commission. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that it is a moment of pride for me that I am starting this important journey from the UK. I express my heartfelt gratitude for the guidance and cooperation provided by the High Commission team in the preparation of this trip.

Priority to industrial development

The CM said that industrial development is one of the top priorities of the state government. He informed that the Regional Industry Conclave organized in cities like Ujjain, Rewa, Gwalior, Jabalpur and Sagar has received positive responses regarding investment in the state. The CM said that we are now moving beyond the national level and trying to connect investors with the development of the state at the international level, which is starting from London.

The CM underlined the immense potential of Madhya Pradesh in sectors like agriculture, automobile, auto components, pharmaceuticals and IT. He especially spoke of partnership with the UK in the field of technology transfer, skill development and research.

The CM requested special cooperation from the Indian High Commission for the Global Investors Summit to be held in Bhopal in February 2025. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that I have a special request that the team of the High Commission should cooperate with us in establishing Madhya Pradesh as an ideal destination for British investors.

Indian High Commissioner Vikram K Doraiswami, Deputy High Commissioner Sujit Ghosh, Minister (Economic) Nidhi Mani Tripathi and First Secretary (Trade) Jaspreet Singh Sukhija were present in the meeting. This discussion between Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and the Indian High Commission, London is being seen as the beginning of a new chapter in promoting industrial and technical cooperation between the state and the UK.
