Class 12 student dies of suicide by hanging self

Was unsuccessful twice in accounts exam, was under stress due to this

Bhopal: A shadow of grief has fallen over Bhopal’s Central School No. 1, following the tragic suicide of a 12th-grade student, Noshin Jafri. The young girl, burdened by repeated failures in her accountancy exams, succumbed to overwhelming stress, ending her life by hanging.

The heart-wrenching incident occurred during a family Iftar gathering, a moment of anticipated joy turned into profound sorrow. Noshin, daughter of a railway loco pilot, had reportedly become increasingly withdrawn and irritable, her anxiety fueled by the fear of failing her final exams.

Despite her family’s efforts to alleviate the pressure, assuring her that academic success wasn’t paramount, Noshin’s distress deepened. Her maternal uncle emphasized the family’s gentle approach, stating they never pressured her.

On Tuesday evening, as her family awaited Iftar, Noshin locked herself in her room. When she didn’t respond, her father forced entry, discovering the devastating scene. Doctors at People’s Hospital pronounced her dead.

Nishatpura police are investigating, noting no suicide note was found. While academic pressure appears to be the primary cause, authorities are exploring all possibilities. The community mourns the loss of a young life, a stark reminder of the immense pressures students face.
