Civil servants must ensure welfare schemes’ success: Governor

  • Patel felicitates civil service achievers of Sankalp Sansthan

Bhopal: Governor Mangubhai Patel said that civil servants should ensure the success of the welfare schemes of the Central and State governments. He urged them to remain sensitive towards the deprived and weaker sections of society and extend a helping hand to them, while also playing an active role in building a developed India.

Governor Patel was addressing aspirants who secured selection in the Civil Services from ‘Sankalp Sansthan’ at the Narmada Club Auditorium on Sunday. He congratulated all the successful candidates and felicitated the mentors, guides, and achievers of the institute on the stage. He appreciated the efforts of the institute in grooming talented students and helping them achieve success.

= Make efforts to benefit participants from deprived sections

Governor urged Sankalp Sansthan to make special efforts to benefit participants from poor and deprived sections through its expertise. He called for identifying and nurturing youth from remote and rural areas, inspiring and motivating them to move forward. The institute, he said, should devise ways to expand access to education for children in distant and needy areas. He also suggested that the institute should actively engage in social causes related to national development, presenting an ideal of social service through education. It should become a centre for providing solutions and guidance on present global issues and future challenges.

On the occasion, Governor was felicitated with a shawl, a coconut and a memento. Founder of ‘Sankalp Sansthan’, Santosh Taneja, delivered the welcome address. State Election Commissioner Manoj Srivastava and Vice Chancellor of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism, Vijay Manohar Tiwari, addressed the gathering as guest speakers, inspiring achievers to face future challenges with new ideas. Institute members Shailendra Choudhary and Deepika shared their experiences of the guidance and support received from Sankalp Sansthan in achieving success in civil services.
