CII summit should be held on international standards: AP CM

Vijayawada, Oct 19 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has expressed the view that discussions on positive policy making should be held along with investments at the partnership summit to be held in Visakhapatnam on November 14 and 15 this year.

The Chief Minister held a review meeting in the camp office on Sunday with the officials on the arrangements for the CII partnership summit in Visakhapatnam. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said the summit should be organized on the lines of Davos World Economic Forum summits.

“The plenary sessions and breakout sessions should give priority for knowledge sharing. The sessions should also focus on AI for good, Semiconductors, Health sector, Innovation, R&D, space, drones, Electronics and Medtech. Discussions should be held on smart manufacturing, chain linkage, logistics, connectivity, inland waterways, warehouse, cold storage, agritech, value addition in rare earth minerals, Swachandhra, circular economy and P-4 programmes,” the Chief Minister asserted.

Mr.Naidu told the officials that economic corridors, industrial clusters, Amaravati blue and green capital, water security, futuristic workforce, and technology based good governance should be highlighted in the summit.

The officials were advised to prepare a presentation explaining the resources and investment opportunities in AP at the partnership conference, adding that issues like economic corridors, industrial clusters, Amaravati Blue Green Capital, water security, futuristic workforce, and technology integration in good governance should be mentioned.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the government policies are the key to industrial progress and that giant IT companies like Google have come forward with huge investments in AP through the new industrial policies currently being implemented in AP, stating that Google is setting up a data AI hub in Visakhapatnam with a huge investment of 15 billion dollars.

He directed officials that the presentation should be in the style of India’s 21st century.

Minister for Industry TG Bharat, Indian Industry Federation Director General Chandrajit Benarji and CII representatives were among those who attended the meeting.
