China resumes passenger trains to Russia after cancellation in 2020 due to COVID

Beijing, Dec 15 (UNI) Passenger trains between Russia and China will resume running on Sunday, December 15, 2024, after a four-year hiatus, Russian Railways reported.

Passenger traffic between the countries was temporarily suspended in 2020 amid the coronavirus pandemic.

From December 15, Russian Railways introduces a new train schedule for three years through 2027. From the same date, international train No. 402/401 Suifenhe – Grodekovo formed by China Railway will resume running.

The train will run daily, its travel time is about an hour and a half.

According to information on the Russian Railways website, the train only has carriages with seats.
