Bhopal: The Paryavaran Sanskriti Trust, in collaboration with the Bajaria Police Station, honored a group of children who displayed remarkable awareness and responsibility in protecting their community. The event was attended by Sushil Kumar Jain, Ramesh Jain, and Vinay Jain (Bawdi Kheda) from the trust, who, along with Station House Officer (SHO) Shilpa Kaurav, presented children Purva Patel, Tanishq Solanki, and Rupal Pal with sweets and the Brave Children Award.
This recognition arose from an incident in which a child’s bicycle was stolen in the Bajaria area. Although the parents initially hesitated to approach the police, the determined child persuaded his father to file a complaint. At the police station, the child emotionally stated, “I love my bicycle very much and want it back.”
Acting promptly, SHO Shilpa Kaurav and her team registered the FIR and initiated an investigation. Their swift actions led to the recovery of the stolen bicycle and the arrest of the culprit. Inspired by this incident, other children whose bicycles had been stolen also came forward to file FIRs, resulting in the successful recovery of their bicycles.
SHO Kaurav explained to the children the importance of filing a First Information Report (FIR) under Section 173 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) 2023, which addresses cognizable offenses. Trust President Sushil Kumar Jain commended the Bajaria police for their sensitivity, efficiency, and dedication, stating that officers like Kaurav enhance public confidence through prompt and empathetic service.
