Change in route of Amarkantak and Utkal train

  • Goods train accident between Bilaspur-Katni, passengers troubled

After the goods train accident on Tuesday between Khongsara and Bhanwartank stations on Bilaspur-Katni railway section under Bilaspur Railway Division of South East Central Railway, operations on both up and down lines have been disrupted.

The railway administration has opened a May I Help You counter at Bilaspur station for passengers, whose Bilaspur helpline number is 9752441105 and 1072. Due to this accident, the routes of a dozen trains have been changed. Most of these trains will pass through Bhopal division of West Central Railway. Senior DCM of WCR Saurabh Kataria said that relief work is going on at the accident site. It may take time for traffic to resume on the track. Due to disruption of operations on this route, some passenger trains are being sent to their destinations via a diverted route.

Routes of these trains changed

– 18477 Puri-Yognagari Rishikesh Utkal Express on Tuesday went via changed route Bilaspur, Raipur, Gondia- Jabalpur, Katni Murwara, 12549 Durg Udhampur Express also went to its destination via Durg- Gondia, Jabalpur, Katni Murwara. 08748 Katni-Bilaspur MEMU was terminated at Shahdol station.

– On Tuesday, 12854 Bhopal-Durg Amarkantak Express ran via changed route via Jabalpur-Gondia. 12853 Durg- Bhopal Amarkantak Express also came to Bhopal via changed route via Gondia-Jabalpur.

– 5159/15160 Chhapra-Durg Sarnath Express, 20807 Visakhapatnam-Amritsar Hirakud will go to Amritsar via a changed route via Gondia-Jabalpur- Katni Murwara.

– 18478 Yoga Nagri Rishikesh- Puri Kalinga Utkal Express will go to Puri via the changed route via Jhansi-Bhopal-Itarsi-Nagpur-Durg-Raipur- Bilaspur.

– 12824 Nizamuddin-Durg Sampark Kranti coming from Nizamuddin will come to Bilaspur via the changed route via Jhansi-Bhopal-Itarsi-Nagpur-Durg.
