Takes stock of preparations in other dists also
Bhopal: Chief Electoral Officer, Madhya Pradesh Shri Anupam Rajan reached the counting venue Old Jail in Bhopal on Thursday and observed the preparations being made for the counting of votes for seven assembly constituencies of the district on 3rd December under the Assembly Elections-2023. Chief Electoral Officer Shri Rajan was informed in detail by Collector and District Election Officer Shri Ashish Singh about the arrangements and preparations being made for the counting of votes.
Chief Electoral Officer Shri Rajan visited the counting rooms made assembly wise and took stock of the preparations. Also saw the preparations being made for counting of postal ballots and the security arrangements of the strong room. He took information about the counting table, number of staff engaged in counting, security arrangements, number of postal ballots etc. Later he inspected the control room. Also discussed with the representatives of the election candidates staying in the counting venue premises and saw the monitoring arrangements of the strong room from the room itself through CCTV. Chief Electoral Officer Shri Rajan seemed satisfied with the vote counting arrangements and also gave necessary directions.
Surprise inspection conducted
Chief Electoral Officer Shri Anupam Rajan conducted a surprise inspection of the preparations being made for the counting of votes to be held on December 3 for all the assembly constituencies of Raisen and Vidisha districts and gave necessary instructions to the Collector and District Election Officer.
Counting at Polytechnic College in Raisen
Chief Electoral Officer Shri Rajan reached Raisen’s Government Polytechnic College located at the district headquarters on Wednesday, and thoroughly inspected all the arrangements made here for the counting of votes for the four assembly constituencies of Raisen district. Shri Rajan visited each of the counting rooms made assembly constituency wise and inspected the preparations. He also inspected the preparations being made for counting of postal ballots and the security arrangements of the strong room. He sought information from Collector and District Election Officer Shri Arvind Dubey about the table to be set-up for counting of votes, the number of staff engaged in counting, security arrangements and number of postal ballots.
Counting at Model College in Vidisha
Chief Electoral Officer Shri Rajan reached Vidisha after inspection in Raisen. Shri Rajan reached Government Model College, Jafarkhedi and observed the preparations being made here for the counting of votes for the five assembly constituencies of Vidisha district. He also inspected the security arrangements of the strong room. Shri Rajan took detailed information regarding CCTV cameras and security forces deployed at the counting venue, counting of votes and counting of postal ballots.
