Centre transfers 33 IAS, 45 IPS officers of AGMUT cadre

New Delhi, Sep 12 (UNI) The Central Government on Thursday transferred 33 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and 45 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers of the AGMUT cadre.

According to the order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, one IAS officer and three IPS officers have been transferred out of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K).

However, the order clearly stated that the movement of the officers to & from Jammu and Kashmir shall be given effect to only after completion of the election process in the state.

IAS Prerna Puri, who is currently posted as Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, IT Department in Jammu and Kashmir, has been transferred to Chandigarh.

Mahendra Nath Tiwari, an IPS officer from the 2004 batch, has been transferred from Jammu and Kashmir to Delhi, and both Altaf Ahmed Khan, IPS (2010 batch), and Shivam Siddharth, IPS (2020 batch), have been transferred to Mizoram.

Among the 45 IPS officers transferred, 16 are stationed in Delhi. These officers have been ordered to be transferred to Jammu and Kashmir, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Mizoram, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Ladakh, and Puducherry.

Meenu Chaudhary and T. Taba are two IPS officers being transferred from Delhi. Meenu Chaudhary has been ordered to move to Mizoram, while T. Taba has been assigned to Arunachal Pradesh.

Out of 33 IAS officers, 11 are stationed in Delhi. They are being transferred to Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Ladakh, Goa, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
