Campion School celebrates Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel

Bhopal: The Feast Day of Our Lady of Mount Carmel was celebrated with deep devotion and spiritual enthusiasm by the management, staff, and students of the Primary Section at Campion School, Bhopal. The celebration was marked by solemn prayers, cultural performances, and heartfelt tributes.

The Feast of Mount Carmel, held in honour of the Mother of Carmel—Patroness of the Apostolic Carmelite Sisters—is observed as the school feast by the Campion family each year. The day began with welcome of the special guests: Headmistress Sr. Renisha AC, Principal Fr. Dr. Athnas Lakra S.J., Sr. Victoria, Sr. Jasinta Toppo AC, and other sisters, by the students and teachers.

The inaugural lamp-lighting ceremony was performed by Superior and Manager Fr. Kapil Xaxa, Principal Fr. Dr. Athnas Lakra S.J., Headmistress Sr. Renisha AC, and other dignitaries. This was followed by a floral and sapling felicitation of the sisters.

The celebration commenced with a soulful prayer service led by the young students. A variety of vibrant cultural programmes followed, including prayer dances, Bible reading, wishing dances, and other joyous performances. A special documentary titled “The Story of Carmel” was showcased.

Fr. Dr. Athnas Lakra spoke to the students about the spiritual significance of the Carmel Feast. The entire event was beautifully coordinated under the guidance of Headmistress Sr. Renisha AC and the dedicated team of primary section teachers. Primary teacher Reena Majumdar conducted the programme as the Master of Ceremonies.
