Chandigarh, India’s rising tennis player Sumit Nagal advanced to men’s singles pre-quarter final of the $ 54,160 ATP Challenger in Campinas, Brazil.
In the second round match, sixth seed Sumit Nagal was leading 4-1 before his rival Gastao Elias of Poatugal retired in 21 minutes on Wednesday.
Sumit will next face Brazilian Orlando Luz in pre-quarter-final. Orlando Luz is ranked 327 while Sumit is ranked 135. Luz defeated 9th seed Joao Menezes of Brazil 6-4, 6-4.
