- Major tragedy averted, both front wheels were dislodged
Bhopal: A major accident was narrowly avoided on Sunday afternoon when a red bus (MP-04-PA-3871) traveling from Bairagarh to Awadhpuri lost control and rammed into a road divider in the Koh-e-Fiza police station area. The bus was carrying the driver, conductor, and around half a dozen passengers—all of whom escaped unhurt.
Eyewitnesses reported that the accident occurred when a car suddenly swerved in front of the moving bus. In an attempt to avoid hitting the car, the bus driver sharply turned the steering wheel. However, due to high speed, the vehicle veered off course and struck the divider with great force. The impact was so intense that both front wheels were dislodged, and the windshield shattered and pierced through.
Koh-e-Fiza police reached the spot after receiving information. Station House Officer KG Shukla said the damaged bus was removed from the road using a crane. Traffic was disrupted for some time due to the incident. Police have recorded statements from both the bus and car drivers and initiated further investigation.
