Bhopal: The Department of Management at The Bhopal School of Social Sciences organized an industrial visit to Tesla Transformers Ltd. in Mandideep for management students to observe the production process of transformers. The visit was coordinated by Dr. Darshan Subherwal for the students of BBA and BA Management in their fifth semester.
During the visit, students gained valuable real-time exposure to various manufacturing processes, including winding, core assembly, low voltage (LV) and high voltage (HV) winding, winding tapping, insulating, final assembly, and tanking of transformers. The facility also featured a comprehensive testing unit dedicated to maintaining transformer quality.
Rajkumar, a supervisor at Tesla Transformers, provided detailed explanations and patiently answered the students’ queries. He shared that the company produces approximately 35 units per month, with last year’s turnover reaching around 250 crores. The visit was facilitated by Subhashish Yadav (Plant Head) and Arvind Upadhyay (HR Head) at Tesla Transformers Ltd.
