Bhopal: The BSSS Institute of Advanced Studies (BSSS-IAS) inaugurated a two-day Management Development Programme (MDP) on the theme “Mastering Personal Finance: Empowering Non-Financial Professionals” under the aegis of the Managerial Skilling Programme on July 7–8, 2025.
The inaugural session was attended by Pradeep Karambelkar, Executive Director of BNI, Bhopal, who attended as the Chief Guest.
Dr. Fr. John P. J., Executive Director of BSSS-IAS, inaugurated the programme and delivered the welcome address. In his speech, he emphasized the increasing importance of such MDPs in equipping professionals from non-finance backgrounds with essential financial knowledge. He underscored the institute’s commitment to bridging the financial literacy gap through practical, industry-relevant training initiatives.
In his keynote address, Karambelkar highlighted the relevance and timeliness of the programme’s theme. He stated that in today’s fast-paced economic environment, financial awareness is not merely a personal skill but a societal imperative. He commended the institute for taking the initiative and noted that enhancing personal finance competencies among professionals would foster financially stable households and contribute positively to the broader economy.
The two-day programme features expert-led sessions covering key areas such as budgeting, savings and investment strategies, risk management, insurance, taxation, and retirement planning. The event is being coordinated by Dr. Amit Kumar Nag, Dr. Atul Dubey, and Dr. J. G. Sankar, who have curated a comprehensive and engaging learning experience for all participants.
