Jammu, Sep 28 (UNI) A brief exchange of fire took place between security forces and terrorists in Billawar area of Kathua district in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday evening.
Police said that based on specific intelligence about presence of terrorists, a joint search operation was launched by security forces at village Kog, Mandli in Billawar tehsil of Kathua.
“A contact was established and few rounds were fired from both sides,” police said.
They said that the area has been cordoned off and the search operation is in progress.
