Administrative Correspondent, Bhopal
The boundaries of divisions, districts and tehsils of the state will be decided afresh. The state government has constituted a delimitation commission to prepare a report in this regard. This commission will prepare a report in one year and submit it to the state government, after which the government will implement the recommendations of the commission.
Even before the Lok Sabha elections in the state, Dr. Mohan Yadav government had taken a decision in this regard in the cabinet on February 24, but after taking the decision, the formalities of formation of the commission were not done for more than 6 months, now finally the commission will be formed. Dr. Mohan Yadav informed about the formation of the commission in Samatva Bhavan on Monday morning. There will also be two other members in the commission.
Divisions, districts will be inspected afresh: CM
Before leaving for Bina, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that when we formed the government, we paid attention to the fact that being the second largest state of India geographically. There are many anomalies, many divisions have become very small. For many such anomalies, we have formed a new Delimitation Commission. Divisions and districts will be inspected again. Sagar, Indore, Dhar are such districts in which there are big difficulties, which I hope will be removed through this commission.
One has to travel 100-150 km to reach HQ
Dr. Yadav, while explaining the need for the formation of the commission, said that people from many villages have to travel 100 to 150 km to reach the block, tehsil, district and division headquarters. Retired ACS Manoj Srivastava has been given the responsibility of the chairman of the commission. There are problems in many districts, like a refinery has been built in Bina, the city has become bigger. In the coming time, rationalization will be done here.
Efforts to make Junnardeo a dist, pressure for Bina
Bina MLA Nirmala Sapre has joined the BJP, but has not resigned from the membership of the assembly. She had won as a Congress candidate in the last assembly elections. Their main demand is that Bina should be made a district, but the problem arose when it started facing opposition in Khurai, BJP’s strong leader Bhupendra Singh is the MLA from Khurai. In such a situation, the matter of making Bina a district has got stuck, while the matter of Nirmala Sapre’s resignation is also stuck.
Within the last five years, 4 new districts have come into existence in the state. In Rewa division alone, two districts Mauganj and Maihar have been formed, while one district Pandhurna has been formed in Jabalpur division and Niwari district has been formed in Sagar division.
