Board exams to continue until March 25

  • Answer sheets to be evaluated by April 20

Bhopal: The Madhyamik Shiksha Mandal (Board of Secondary Education) has commenced the evaluation process for the 10th and 12th board exam answer sheets. This marks the beginning of the first phase, where approximately 30 lakh answer sheets are slated for evaluation.

The evaluation process began on March 13, and all answer sheets from exams conducted up to March 12 are currently being reviewed. Model schools and excellence schools under the Mandal’s jurisdiction have been designated as the coordinating centers for evaluation. The goal is to complete the evaluation by April 20, after which the results will be announced.

As the exams are still ongoing, teachers are required to conduct the exams on the specified dates and immediately begin the evaluation process afterward. The exams will conclude by March 25, after which the pace of evaluation is expected to pick up. According to regulations, teachers assigned to this task must have at least five years of experience in paper correction.

The Mandal has also clarified that teachers involved in this process must report on time every day, and their attendance will be monitored online. Retired teacher leader Murarilal Soni raised concerns about the many senior teachers who are currently working in government offices and ministers’ staff, which might impact the efficiency of the evaluation process.
