- ISRR-2025 begins today
Bhopal: The ICMR-Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Center (BMHRC) is set to become a global hub for radiation science as it hosts the 4th International School on Radiation Research (ISRR-2025) on December 18–19. The two-day prestigious conference, held under the aegis of the Society of Radiation Research (SRR), will be inaugurated by the Governor of Madhya Pradesh, Mangubhai Patel.
= Exploring the frontiers of radiation
The summit focuses on critical domains including Biodosimetry, Radioprotection, and Advanced Radiotherapy. According to BMHRC Director-in-Charge, Dr. Manisha Shrivastava, radiation science is now pivotal across healthcare, space research, and molecular biology.
Top-tier scientists from Germany, Japan, Sweden, the USA, and India will converge to discuss:
Biodosimetry: Identifying radiation exposure through biomarkers.
DNA Repair: Understanding genetic shifts and cellular recovery.
Innovative Therapy: Making cancer treatment safer and more precise.
= Empowering the next generation
A key highlight of the event is the platform provided to young researchers to present their findings before international luminaries like Dr. Nils Cordes (Germany) and Dr. Hiroshi Harada (Japan). This exchange aims to foster international collaboration, driving innovations that could redefine radiation safety and oncological care globally.
