BMHRC streamlines appointments with new phone booking system

  • Can book appointment with doctor on 1800-233-2085

Bhopal: Accessing specialist care at Bhopal Memorial Hospital & Research Centre (BMHRC) just got easier. Patients can now schedule appointments simply by calling the Ayushman Bharat Niramayam Helpline at 1800-233-2085. This new system prioritizes pre-booked appointments, ensuring patients are seen by a doctor within an hour of arrival.

Dr. Manisha Shrivastava, Director In-charge, BMHRC, explained that both gas-affected patients and the general public can utilize the streamlined phone booking process. Callers simply inform the operator of their need for a BMHRC consultation. The operator will collect essential information, including the patient’s name, city, and desired department, before providing a confirmed appointment date and time. A confirmation SMS will be sent for reference.

The helpline operator can also provide information on OPD schedules and doctor availability, empowering patients to make informed choices. Behind the scenes, the Ayushman Bharat team at BMHRC will coordinate with the relevant department to ensure a smooth and efficient experience.

Upon arrival, patients with appointments will need to register at the hospital and bring their medical records before proceeding to the designated OPD. Their prioritized status guarantees they will be seen within an hour. To manage patient flow, a maximum of 30 appointments will be available per OPD each day.

In addition to the new appointment booking line, BMHRC continues to operate its 24/7 general information helpline, 0755-2740875. This number provides assistance with registration, OPD timings, doctor availability, departmental details, and other hospital services. Trained BMHRC staff are available around the clock to answer questions and provide support.
