BMC fixes payroll snag with hybrid attendance system

Bhopal, The salary crisis threatening over 16,000 Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) employees has been averted. Due to persistent technical glitches in the new Face Attendance System, many employees’ attendance was not being correctly registered, risking a delay in pay.

To resolve the issue, the Municipal Commissioner has ordered a practical solution: employee salaries will now be calculated using a hybrid system. The data will be compiled using both the older Saarthak App and the new Face Attendance System data. The BMC’s IT cell has been instructed to merge the information to ensure every employee receives their due wages on time. This prompt decision offers significant relief to staff, allowing them to fulfill their financial obligations while the administration works to technically stabilize the new face recognition system.
