Bhopal: The Bagsewaniya police reported a breakthrough in the investigation of a blind murder case involving a man found dead with injuries on Monday. The deceased, identified as Balwant Singh, 40, was discovered near Margat Ground, close to Shani Mandir, with visible facial injuries, raising suspicions of foul play.
Police began an investigation and registered a case of suspicious death. They learned that Balwant was last seen with his friend, Sachin Gupta, a vegetable vendor. During questioning, Sachin confessed to the crime, revealing that the two had been drinking together on the night of the incident. An argument erupted when Sachin accused Balwant of stealing his mobile phone, escalating into a violent confrontation.
In a fit of rage, Sachin attacked Balwant with a heavy metal bracelet, resulting in severe injuries that led to Balwant’s death from excessive bleeding. The police have since arrested Sachin and filed murder charges against him. Further investigations are ongoing to explore the involvement of others.
